Change File Storage Method - Mistake

Some how I hit the " Change File Storage Method " button, now it deleted all my images ( 1200+ ) from my gallery. Good news is i have a back up of most.

I went ahead and hit it again to put it back on the right setting but 80% of my images have the wrong urls.

Code:

Content visible to verified customers only.
When it should be
Code:

Content visible to verified customers only.
I tried " Repair / Optimize Tables " to see if that option would repair it but no luck.

I already reloaded the images so all images on the forum are back.
But I need a fix for this?

Thanks

am-fs,

Sorry I missed this last night, I was offline for a few days.

So everything is back to normal then for you?

How did you fix this?

The 'Change File Storage Method' button should be labelled 'Do Not Touch' and flash bright red, with 5 steps of 'Are you sure?' before it actually executes.

I touched it once and it trashed everything...luckily I had a backup from the day before, but without that I don't know what I'd have done.

Notes:
AdminCP => vBgallery => Maintenance => Change File Storage Method.

This should be moved:
- gallery/gallery_config.php

That way its something that is setup when the path of the gallery is set. It is way to easy to change for something that needs to be set in stone.

[Moved to bugs for later DEV]

StuartDH, after having my gallery with over 7K images go through the same thing I suggested similar to Michael for a future revision. I swore I'll never touch that button again.

Agree this option should be well hidden, and well out of my way ;)
