Users can't post replys Users are unable to post replies to images. After hitting the submit reply button, there are no error messages. The system returns to the show image page only the reply is not shown and the reply count is still 0. I did some digging in the database and found that the reply is being saved to the adv_gallery_posts table but nothing is being written to the adv_gallery_images table to link the post. I've confirmed this by manually entering the posts, lastpostusername, lastpostuserid and lastpostdateline fields into the proper db records. When I do that the post is shown as it should be. Aparently this has been a problem from the beginning. I've been doing some biz travel so have not noticed. This is a problem with both regular and quick reply features. I currently have QR disabled though. How can I fix this and Is there any way to tell the system to re-index the existing replies and correct the database? Running vb3.5.2 and vbgallery 1.0.2 Thanks. |
What are your settings in the gallery? - yes/no post count to user count ? images count to user count ? |
Both set to no. |
Any ideas what's happening here? |
I have the exact same problem... |
Same issue. |
Are all the posts Moderated ? Each usergroup has this option: AdminCP => vBa Gallery => Usergroup Permissions => Modify Permissions Moderate this group's images Yes/No Moderate this group's posts Yes/No I can reply. EX: http://www.gzhq.net/gallery/showimage.php?i=710 |
I am not moderating posts. Some are actually posting, but when the page refreshes...nothing is there. |
Anyone figure this out yet? |
haven't seen the problem yet my self. Shoot me an EX ? |
Actually, I'm thinking it's the quick/advanced reply issue. I tried the fix for quick reply with no luck. |

- Quick fix for now. AdminCP => vBulletin Options => Message Posting Interface Options - Quick Reply => Enable Standard Controls |
