Exclamation Problem upload with file size over 1500px

Hello,

I can upload images but if is over 1499 pixels, i have error 500:

Quote:
Internal Server Error
The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.

Please contact the server administrator, webmaster@xxxx and inform them of the time the error occurred, and anything you might have done that may have caused the error.

More information about this error may be available in the server error log.

Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.
I use GD library.
Where is tho problem?

My hosting has answer:

Using the link I provided change the memory to say 40M

Your using gd2 which is part of PHP and steals PHP memory. On larger files memory gets consumed.

Unless you switch to say imagemagic for the processor the only answers I can state are to increase PHP memory as stated or you can limit filesizes that people can upload.
