Upload picture causes logout

I need HELP

I installed PhotoPost vBGallery v1.0.1 (vB 3.5) on vbulletin 3.5.3.

Installtion went smoothly. When I try and upload any file (even 15k picture) I am sent to the portal for what appears to be a login. I am still logged-in.

Thank you

I actually have the same problem with the same version of vbulletin (3.5.3).
Would like to know what's wrong.

I am glad to know I am not the only one. Though it is sad to know that others are experiencing the same problem.

Zachariah

Do you want me post a ticket?

dug320 January 21st, 2006 12:42 AM

I think it is fixed

chmod 777 gallery and directories within

You should only have to CHMOD 777
- users
- files

* unless you did not use the default folders in setup.

Zachariah,

If I'm not mistaken, the instructions show the entire Gallery folder and everything below that to be CHMOD ed to 777 ?

From the manual:

"Now you will need to chmod the /gallery/files folder to 777"

Anyway thats how I read it, and did anyway. I'm not having the trouble these guys are but does this chmod thing make a difference as to wheather or not I have only the sub folders chmodded vs the entire thing above and below?

I dont see anywhere where it states to chmod both users and files.

Could you elaborate on this a little more?

Doug

I missed this thread :o

Not the whole gallery folder.

Folder(s) in which your images will be stored need to be 777. If the sever supports 777, some hosts only allow only 755. When doing a server "move" or "restore / re-upload" of all the media and sub-folders. All recursive directories must also be CHMOD.

The only reason to CHMOD 777 the "files" (used for FTP uploads) folder is if/when you do mass uploads via FTP.
