Problems after installation

I did everything in detail that was described in the help file, and after I did everything, I get this PHP error message every time I access the Gallery:

the forums is located in www.x.com/forum and the gallery is located at www.x.com/gallery , please don't ask me to check the directory in the gallery's config file because I already did like a billion times...

Thanks,
firstbase.

It is /home/dir/public_html/forum , that's about it, I think it's correct...

gallery_config.php
Code:
Content visible to verified customers only.
You need to find out your server.

AdminCP = > Maintenance => View PHP info

DOCUMENT_ROOT

Take what ever the value is and add: /your_forum_install_dir
Quote:
EX:
$forumpath = '/home/photopost/public_html/forum';
no trail " / " slash.

I already said I did that, and that is there..
But still, having the very same problem.
The script says that there must be a global.php file withing the Gallery directory...

PS. Don't worry, instead of "dir" I did put my site's folder.

Thanks.

Firstbase, in the error you listed it's having a 'chdir' problem meaning that the value in gallery_config.php is either incorrect or is inaccessible.

When you did the View PHP info, what exactly was the value for document root?

I viewed in the PHP info from the admin cp exactly this:

Quote:
/home/linuxfor/public_html/forum/admincp
So I enterred in the gallery_config.php file exactly this:

Quote:
/home/linuxfor/public_html/forum
And the gallery_config.php file is chmoded to 777.
