Red face ImageMagick magically fails.

Hello,

Chuck: Thank you for your response and helping me getting access again to this forum
So I put my thread here because it's the proper place for it. (my English is terrible)

Imagemagick doesn't work with my install of Photopost vbGallery

An error occurred while attempting to resize this image. If the problem
persists, please notify the webmaster
Error Code: 127
\"/usr/bin/mogrifyconvert\" -size 100x75 -geometry 100x75 -quality 100
/home/wallpaperkunst.nl/public_html/gallery/files/1/Art4dwp036b.jpg
/home/wallpaperkunst.nl/public_html/gallery/files/1/Art4dwp036b_thumb.jpg

Chuck responded:
That error message is because the path you are telling the program mogrify is at it is not located. You may need to check with your host on the true path or as always you can select gd if mogrify is not installed

This is the reply from my host:
version 5.4.4.5. is running on this server
Path is: /usr/bin/mogrify

I used this path but got problems
I use Photopost with Imagmagick on the same website ( www.wallpaperkunst.nl) without any problems.
I tried GD2 but that won't work either. Reading this forum i think that there may be a memory problem with my host
http://www.wallpaperkunst.nl/phpinfo.php
And that's also why I would like to use ImageMagic

Every support is welcome.

In vBGallery's config, use it just like this: /usr/bin

It just needs to know the location of IM, not a specify filename.

Okay gallery does not use mogrify it seems like Photopost does. it uses convert

So in Photopost you would put your path like so

/usr/bin/mogrify

In your vBgallery control panel try setting your path to imagemagick as this

/usr/bin/

Don't put the / on the end. It doesn't need to be there.

Actually, it may not matter anymore. Gallery may check for that.

Question I can upload now!

Hello,

Thanks for your response

>Changed the path in my admin cppanel to /usr/bin
got the same error
>Changed the path in my admin cppanel to /usr/bin/
OK! no error message.
image not resized

I'am half way now.
Q: in the "Maximum Width/Height of Category Images" box in the admincp I just entered: 450
If that the right format then what's the fix?

You want the trailing slash...

How big is the file that you uploaded but did not get resized?

Thumbs up Yo, it's working !

Ok Kevin,

Your question made me ponder about my category and image settings.
After a fresh install, and leaving most settings default I am now able to work with images up to 3600X2500 max. 4 mb. The Gallery opens the original (setting: -1) in a new window. So I am happy. The only settings I changed is the max. file size for jpeg files to 4mb, save the original=yes and open the original in a new window=yes.

Thanks for your support.
