Permissions

Ok I have made a fresh install of the gallery and everything seemed to go well. My problem is though, that when I try to access the gallery it says:

Hito, you do not have permission to access this page. This could be due to one of several reasons:

Your user account may not have sufficient privileges to access this page. Are you trying to edit someone else's post, access administrative features or some other privileged system?
If you are trying to post, the administrator may have disabled your account, or it may be awaiting activation.

Now I went into the admincp > vBaGallery > Usergroup permissions and made sure myself (an admin) have permssions to access the gallery but it still says this. Even when all the options are set to yes, it wont let me or anyone else access the gallery.

ANy ideas what I may have done wrong and can do to fix this?

EDIT: I did the thing with the cookies in the suggestions area, and still got the same problem.

Have you removed the copyright notice from the gallery? If so, that needs to be restored. If you haven't, then it looks like the no permission screen is being printed out before any of the gallery code is executed, which would indicate that you don't have your forum permissions set to allow members to view the forum (which doesn't seem to be the case), or you have another hack/plugin that is interfering.

No I havent touched the copyright notice at all. And i have given everyone permssions (set all to yes) to access the gallery but still doesnt work. One thing I noticed was when I was running the install script, when it was time to get to teh images, after about a minute of waiting for the page to load it said page cannot be found. Could this be because of that? Im going to try to uninstall the hacks.

No, the step with the images won't affect anything, though you may have to edit your styles, smilies, and icons manually.

O ok well thats no biggie. I disababled all of teh hacks and deleted a few of em and I still have the same problem.

I think I may have an idea why this is happening. Its hard to explain but an example is this:

Say I want to just type the URL of my admincp i would just type www.eternalsuns.com/admincp but when i do that it says i do not have permssions to access that, just like the gallery. BUT if i type www.eternalsuns.com/admincp/index.php it prompts me for the login to admincp and i can get in just fine. Now, if i do that with the gallery type www.eternalsuns.com/gallery/index.php it says page cannot be displayed. So in short i think i its just not reading the index.php file, any ideas how to fix this?

NOTE: Admincp is not what i call my admincp, its was just used for the sake of the example.

Weird... Would you mind submitting a support ticket via the Members' Area here so I can have a look at things?

Sure will do.

Also, if you try to access any of the files in the gallery folder in root it also says page cannot be displayed.

EDIT: Ticket has been submitted.
