Uploading doesn't work
when I click upload in gallery, I get the following message:

VB_AREA or THIS_SCRIPT must be defined to continue

Please help

THIS_SCRIPT is defined in upload.php, so I would suggest downloading the package from here again and upload the upload.php file from there over your existing one to make sure that you don't have the vB 3.0 version on your server still.
