restoring vba_gallery database to 3.5

I tried restoring all the vba_gallery databases from my old website " gallery rc2" to my new 1.1 ...
It gives me all categories in admin panel ...but i get an error when i try to save one of the categories.

Sounds like you didn't run the upgrade script.

which is logical since this is on a completely different server ...

man it would be really great if someone can help me fix this ...we haven't had any sleep in 3 days... im pretty sure it will take only 5 Minutes of your time ...by msn or by phone or something ..

I am even willing to pay for a normal conversation ...not having to use the forums.. ... we need to get our old categories back or it's gonna be a reupload of 8000 pictures ..
