Large images
If I try and upload anything larger than 1024x768, even though I have my max set at 1600x1200, I get a black white page. No error, and no picture.
Any ideas?

Re: Large images
Also, if a user posts an image that is larger than the max dimensions, shouldn't it resize it accordingly? If so, mine isn't doing that.

Re: Large images
Your host has a low amount of memory allocated to PHP. You need to ask them to either up this limit, or install ImageMagick as it does not have the same memory restrictions that GD does.

Re: Large images
The PHP memory limit is set to 8 MB. I know the images aren't even over a MB. Think that would make any difference?

Re: Large images
The filesize of the images doesn't matter. GD uses your server's memory and the amount of memory used depends on the dimensions of the image.

Re: Large images
ImageMagick really is a much better program than GD and I would highly recommend it for anyone that has the option to use it.
