Problem uploading files

I seem to be having some problems uploading images to my gallery. I have my gallery/files folder CHMOD to 777 and the files path is set to /usr/local/psa/home/vhosts/stelth2000inc.com/httpdocs/newportsociety.stelth2000inc.com/gallery/files

I receive no error message after trying to upload a file. I am just taken to the upload.php page where I am shown my stats. I have physically checked my ftp server and no files are being uploaded. Any ideas on what is wrong?

FYI: The file i'm trying to upload is a wmv file. I seem to not be having any issues uploading if the file is an image file (jpg, gif, bmp, png)

Re: Problem uploading files

How large is the wmv file that you're trying to upload? Most servers have a limit of 2mb set for PHP uploads, so it sounds like that may be the problem.

It's an 8.32 mb file. If that's the case, how do i go about uploading to the gallery?

Re: Problem uploading files

You can still use the FTP upload options to upload larger files.

Re: Problem uploading files

so basically if any of the members of my site have a file they need to upload that is greater than 8 mb... i looked at the php info on my hosts server they support up to 8 mb file upload... they will need to send the file to me to upload and i just post it under the users name. my host doesn't have a way for me to set up individual ftp accounts for my users to upload their own files to put in their own folder.

Without being able to create FTP accounts then you would need to have those users send the files to you, or you could try getting your host to up the 8mb limit.
