Images don't show

Hi, wonder if anyone can help me

When people upload their images, the files upload fine into the correct folders but the images don't display even though the images is in the location its getting the image from. The problems started when i changed the gallery location to a subdomain, but i've changed it back and it failed to fix the problem

can anyone help me?

Looks like you turned on the .htaccess protection before you switched. Try turning that option off and that should take care of the problem.

its not on, i've never turned image protection on

Go to your gallery/files directory with an FTP program and make sure there's not an .htaccess file there. The images appear fine if you view the properties of the image and go straight to the URL, so it would have to be something with a bad .htaccess file, or something with your hosting company.

Can you post the contents of the .htaccess file that you have in your root directory?

Posting in case someone else runs across this. I was also having this problem after moving servers and upgrading at the same time. I checked and found there was a htaccess file in the files directory, and it had the domain name coded in it. The DNS servers haven't had time to change yet, so I'm acccessing by IP address right now. I removed the htaccess file and everything started working.
