Sounds like your server can't handle the processing for that option. I only have 11,000+ images on my personal site, but that option still only takes about 3 seconds to perform.

If no problems are found (ie, orphaned files, etc), it takes about 4 seconds to scan my database with 4600 images. If problems are found, it can obviously take incrementally longer.

I can't see y it can't handle it? It did for PP. I have a 3.0GHz w/4GB ram on the webserver and dual XEON 2.4 with 2GB ram.

ok, i changed max_execution_time to 120 and it worked. I have 25,003 images.
