I have tried to use imagemagick instead of GD2 for some time now. I had used it on same server to run gallery from menalto and I am also currently using imagemagick to handle all of my image functions on my vbulletin 3.5.0 forum, same website/server
I find it strange that it doesn't work properly when I set it up in vba gallery...
I select imagemagick in the options for vbagallery and then put my path in the box below exactly how I have always put it in there for other scripts in the past.(/usr/local/bin/)
When I set it all up and then go upload an image, there is no thumbnail (only link) created but the full size image is uploaded and visible.
Can anyone tell me what I am doing wrong? Does vba function properly with imagemagick?

Do you have the IM path entered exactly as you posted? As long as you have /usr/local/bin/ then you shouldn't have any problems.

I have always had this problem with vbagallery and was hoping there was a fix for it. I don't believe it has anything to do with my webhost because I am using it on my forums on same server, same website and have no issues whatsoever. I am also using imagemagick on 3 other domains hosted on my server and have no problems with them either.... but my other domains are using photopost and gallery menalto.

This never got fixed and I never got an update. If it claims to have imagemagick support then why does it not work? And don't tell me its my webhost.

No thanks, I am sick of this topic, I would imagine I have already placed 2 support tickets in the past and also posted in the forums with no sort of resolve on the issue. Your not gonna waste my time anymore.

I would love to help, but it requires that we have access to look at things, if you are not willing to provide the access you will need to deal with the problems on your own end.
Best of luck.
