While upgrading vbulletin, all files were overwritten..... now what? With the upgrading from vbulletin 3.07 to 3.5 RC3, all old vbulletinfiles were overwritten with the new files. In the gallery manual I can't seem to find what I have to do. After running the vba_gallery installationfile, I selected the upgrade option. Everything seemed fine, but I didn't get any links that the gallery admin links in the admincp. In the manual there are points were editing of files like admincp/index.php is mentioned. I think I'm stuck :( |
Re: While upgrading vbulletin, all files were overwritten..... now what? Did you download the Gallery for vB 3.5? If so, make sure you upload all the files with it. The options for AdminCP are added via an XML file now, so no file edits are needed. |
Re: While upgrading vbulletin, all files were overwritten..... now what? Yes I did.... there\'s a cron folder in the package I installed, just like the xml file. |
Re: While upgrading vbulletin, all files were overwritten..... now what? And you uploaded the XML file into the includes/xml directory? |
Re: While upgrading vbulletin, all files were overwritten..... now what? -- thanks for your help btw -- Yes, I uploaded the complete package, and have it overwrite all old files. But during the upgrade process the links in the admincp screen aren\'t made. So I have no access to the vb gallery options. |
Re: While upgrading vbulletin, all files were overwritten..... now what? The links aren\'t made during the install process. They are read from the XML file with vBulletin 3.5. If you downloaded Gallery 1.0.1 for 3.5 a while back, try downloading it again and get the updated XML file. All you need to do is send up the new XML file over the old one. No need to re-run the install/upgrade process. |
Re: While upgrading vbulletin, all files were overwritten..... now what? Seems like that fix helped..... I can see the options and all again.... Thanks a LOT for your help and time |

Because i will have to do a reinstall and want to know if i should write down all fixes first.. or just download the files again... Luc |
Re: While upgrading vbulletin, all files were overwritten..... now what? No, not all fixes are included. Look through the current Bugs forum to find any bugs that were found in 1.0.1. |
