Unhappy Help: Install failed & thinks its already upgraded

I did a rather major upgrade to my forum, cpms and gallery.

vb 3.08 to 3.5 for everything.

The forum upgraded smoothly. I then upgraded the CMPS and that went well.
Sadly, the gallery upgrade didn't go so well......

After making the modifications and uploading the new files, I ran the gallery install and told it to upgrade. It just sat there @ the blue screen, stopped and didnt do anything. So after a few minutes I verified all of my files and tried it again. Now it tells me "You are already running the current version of vBadvanced Gallery." and it does not go any further.

The gallery pages seem to be working. I test most of the major features and nothing seems to be broken... however I dont think the upgrade actually did anything? After selecting upgrade and pressing process, Nothing was visible on the page when i did it. Just a blue screen where it just sat there. The gallery page still reads 1.0 rc4. I have a bad feeling the upgrade didnt do anything.

What should I do? I dont want to uninstall the gallery because I would loose everything >.<. Perhaps I made an error in the first run. Where is the version flag? Perhaps I can reset that flag and try again?

I do have backups of everything before I started the upgrade process. I thought about restoring the old files and database and startin gover again fron scratch if I need to.....

If the install file is telling you that you're already running the current version then everything *should* have been completed. If you'd like to submit a support ticket via the Members' Area here though I'll be glad to look over things for you and make sure that everything was completed.

Re: Help: Install failed & thinks its already upgraded

Thanks Brian. I actually think I may have messed up somewhere and decided to start the upgrade fresh to verify it's done correctly. Upgrading so many files I probably copied something incorrectly or something lol. Im restoring my old forum, portal and gallery and will try again to see what happens. If it fails agail ill let you know.

Re: Help: Install failed & thinks its already upgraded

Brian, everything seems to be working ok now.

My upgrade was from 3.07 to 3.5. This time around I did the upgrade of the forum from 3.07 to 3.08 and also upgraded the gallery. Then did the upgrades to 3.5 on the forum and gallery. That seemed to do the trick. The last time I don't think I upgraded the gallery in between there and that musta made me miss something important. hehe
