Changing category on moderation

When users submit pictures and I moderate them, they change to 0 as the category. This means no-one can view them and I have to go into the database and change it manually. I have checked which category they are in when moderating them and that isn't the problem.
Anyone any ideas how to fix this as it is a pain having to go through the db?

Re: Changing category on moderation

Are you moderating them from the user side or the admin side?

Re: Changing category on moderation

Im not sure what you mean. When I upload pictures via the admin account, they are viewable by everyone. However, if the moderators upload pictures or anyone else does they are placed in an unviewable category (0).

Re: Changing category on moderation

The moderation I have done is not through the admin control panel but the emoderation link in the gallery screen.
There are a coupld of others niggles as well. Some of the images dont display the watermark while others in the same category do (seems to be a size thing) and in one of the categories it doesn't count any images, despite there being some.

Re: Changing category on moderation

I have just checked with uploading and moderating via the admin cp section and this validates the images properly so it seems t be a problem with the moderation via the actual gallery page.
Any help to rectify this would be appreciated.

Re: Changing category on moderation

If you'll download the package from here again and replace your gallery_global.php file with the one in the package then that should take care of the orphaned images.

If the image being uploaded is smaller than the watermark then the watermark will not be applied. Otherwise you could end up with images that were nothing but the watermark.

Try going to http://yoursite.com/forum/admincp/vba_gallery_admin.php?do=rebuildparents. Once you've done that, rebuild your category counters through the 'Maintenance' link under your vBa Gallery options and that should take care of the problem.
