Your issue was language encoding so your good to go you should see your menu now.

yep your site was having issues with two strings that had special characters to ensure SEO urls working correct. Once I changed your encoding the plugin installed right.

What do you mean? When you are in the gallery logged in as admin you do see the admin link on the sub nav menu with all the other gallery links right.
You set usergroup permissions in your gallery admin under edit usergroups. You set category permissions under admin edit categories for any categories you create.
Individual various options for index showphoto showgallery sidebar are all broken down section by section in admin.

Every usergroup was set to not have access to upload images. And I was searching for that setting earlier, but found it. My eyes kept skipping over the Edit Usergroups link. I knew it was there, just couldn't see it.
I just need to become familiar with all the admin links.
