Conversion from PhotoPost didnt work to well. (i'm sorry if this was posted before but i did search the forum and didnt find a problem same as mine) hi, i have converted to vba Gallery v1.0 RC4 from my photo post gallery and i am having some issues. help is greatly appreciated. 1. most of the thumbnails dont show up (on the main gallery page they do) 2. when i click on the broken image thumbnails it sometimes shows the big pic and sometimes the big pic is a broken image too. 3. i cant upload because and i get this error: An error occurred while attempting to create a folder for your files. If the problem persists, please notify the webmaster. i'm guessing many image paths are wrong although i do have the right paths in the settings page. someone please let me know how i can fix this. |
Re: Conversion from PhotoPost didnt work to well. Admin CP => vBa Gallery => Maintenance => Scan Database Try that option and see if it is able to repair the problems with the images. For the uploading issues, make sure you have your paths set correctly and that you have chmod your gallery/files folder to 777. |

Brian, i did the Scan Database and it came up with "Total: 1646 Problems Found". it lists all the image names saying File not found. i have a total of 1648 pics so it cant be right coz i can see more then 2 of them working. as for the uploading..i have trippled check the path and have chmoded /files to 777...anything else it could be? |
Re: Conversion from PhotoPost didnt work to well. ohh yeah, and with that list...the only option is to tick the Delete box and click the Fix Selected Problems button at the bottom...how is it going to fix anything if i can only tick to delete it. and i noticed, after showing pics from all the categories, after it showed a list called Not In Database with many pics listed in there. funny i did a second Scan Database and now that list contains only 1246 items ??puzzled?? |
