Images Won't Upload

Alright, now I am confused??

I am trying to upload a picture...all seems to go well and then I get an error stating:

No Image specified. If you followed a valid link, please notify the webmaster

Everything was working fine, what in the heck happened??

I am using VB 3.0.8 and VBA Gallery 1.0.1

Same Problem Here.

New install of Gallery 1.01 this week. Vbulletin 3.08. Actually tested it on the first day, and, although there appeared to be a glitch or two, shortly thereafter I successfully uploaded my first couple of images.............then

1) No photos will upload
2) Users cannot create their allotted category

Read all the posts. Double checked the paths.

Think the problem may be related to the creation of user directories

xtremeoff-road - Is your server running in safe mode? That's *generally* the problem when you get that error after uploading.

claimbuddy - Are you getting the error saying that the script was unable to create a folder for that user? If so then you most likely have your 'Files Path' option set incorrectly, or you haven't chmod that directory to 777.

No - I don't get an error message - I got the standard file not found page returned after upload.php and the other upload.php page attempt to run

I went looking for my ftp folder last night and there was not one created called
gallery/users/1.....................so I created one via the plesk control panel and uploaded my photos hoping to get my work done.............no luck

Anyway, there is a support request open

Negative sir, safe mode is off??

I can't think of anything else that would cause that off the top of my head. If you'd like to submit a support ticket though I'll be glad to take a look and see what's causing the problem.

we are experianceing the same problems as above altho getting random error messages.. on occasion says everything is fine tho.. however no imageis ever uploaded...

Same as previous with new error message - support ticket posted

1) Upload from server - does nothing -
2) Upload from form - successful with the following error message

still the ame problem even after support said it was fixed (just changeing storage type on attachments to server rather than database didnt seem to work altho it would be nice to have images from the gallery hack in the database would save leeching as its harder to use blobbed images in the db on another server... just dont quote me on the work that would take)

The problem with mine was permissions.

For some reason, when I changed servers, the permissions for the files folder was changed, had to change it back to 777

Trust me, it's not worth the performance hit that your server would take.
