Install issues/VBA 1.01/VB 3.04

I've run thru the install process for VB Gallery and have had a couple of issues. Although the process seemed to run without errors, I am having the following issues:

1- There is no entry in the left pane of the VB CP to administer the gallery...I have to run the separate CP from the ADMINCP folder.
2- There was no link created to the gallery on the forums' main page after running the install..is this supposed to be added manually, and if so, how can I add it?
3- If I browse to the gallery manually, the icon images on the gallery page are broken. I have not tried actually uploading anything at this point.

I have run thru the the install once, and have gone back in and updated the relative path entries/url as follows:

/home/org/mywebsite/html/forums
http://www.mywebsite.com/forums

Also, I chose the default install, and did not modify any of the VB 3.04 files. I have logged out and cleared cookies after each mod.
What am I missing?
Thanks.

Re: Install issues/VBA 1.01/VB 3.04

1) Did you make the optional changes to your index.php in the admincp directory, as outlined in the installation instructions?
2) You'll need to edit the Navbar, or any other vBulletin template where you want the link to appear, and add it in.
3) See the FAQ forum: http://www.vbadvanced.com/forum/showthread.php?t=1345

Re: Install issues/VBA 1.01/VB 3.04

Thanks for the quick reply, CS. After closer review, I realized the first two changes needed to be made manually.

Am still having a problem with the broken images, however..the VBA path to the images (if you look at the properties for a broken one) appear to be pointing to a folder located under the gallery..yet if you run back thru the install it does find all the icons and buttons properly when you select the 'update your image paths' option. If you right click 'Properties' on one of the broken images, here's an example of where VBA thinks the image lives:

http://www.mywebsite.com/gallery/ima...bits_start.gif

instead of

http://www.mywebsite.com/forums/imag...bits_start.gif

which is the correct folder location. I can of course copy the image folders to the gallery location but I am sure this must be a simple config I am missing.
Thanks.

The FAQ entry that I linked tells you what you need to do to correct those images.

Re: Install issues/VBA 1.01/VB 3.04

It's not vBa values. It tells you to edit your vBulletin Style, and put the full paths to the image folders there.

From the post linked above:

If it is the buttons/logo/etc, go to your Style Manager in your Admin CP. From there, select 'All Style Options' next to the style you are having a problem with. On that page you will see a list of image paths. Make sure that all of the paths there contain the full URL to each directory.

I see, it needs to be changed from a relative path to a fully qualified one..that worked, thanks for your help.
