Building a Search button

Our gallery at www.wildaboutbritain.co.uk contains thousands of photos of British wildlife that have been submitted by users from across the UK.

Whilst most of the species have been identified, there are still several hundred that have yet to be named and there are lots added daily that haven't been ID'ed.

To keep the gallery organised we've been adding the characters IMG to the above pictures so that we can easily located them in the gallery and name them whenever we've got the opportunity. We then bookmark the page so that it's easy to access.

However, the bookmarked page usually expires after a day or two and so we'd really like to replace it with and IMG link on the front of the gallery that will automatically search for all IMG images and display them without having to do a manual search.

Any ideas on how we can best acheive this or does anyone have any better idea as to how we can let staff and visitors easily find our unidentified pictures? We don't want to really hold them in a different category, but I guess this might be an option.

Thanks

Stuart

What about adding a custom field to determine if they've been identified or not? Just a simple 'Yes/No' radio button should work.

Re: Building a Search button

Hi Brian,

I've built an 'unidentified' radio button as suggested, but I'm not too sure how I can put together a link on the front page that will automatically display a dynamic page of results that contains all 'unidentified' pictures in the gallery.

The 'unidentified' radio button appears in my search page, but I still need to put some text in the search box and the results produce more of a static page, which I can easily link to, but it doesn't update every time I click on the link.

Cheers

Stuart
