GIF thumbnails not showing

When I upload a GIF file it will not create a thumbnail?

JPEG works fine.

Sounds like you're using a version of GD that doesn't support GIF.

Do you run your own server? If not, you'll have to ask your host to upgrade it, if it needs upgrading.

Newer versions of php (4.3.10 and beyond) should have a compiled version of GD that supports gif write support.

but since you run your own server, I'd suggest installing ImageMagick much more complete image writing software.

Thats not new or secure by any means, you despertly need to upgrade to 4.4.0 for security and preformance reasons.
