Custom Avatars not loading

the custom avatars are not loading on the gallery.

attachment shown.

this is the same thing happening on the vbindex as well.

since i installed this, if you goto the vbindex, the images arent right for the icons, and now i noticed this.

It's a problem with vBindex. It appends the full path to all the images, even though it doesn't need to, since it's already there.

but this problem is happening inside the gallery also with custom avatars, since i installed this its altered the custom avatars for the external parts of the forums.

Edit your includes/config.php file and add $debug = 1; somewhere just before the closing ?> tag in that file. Upload it, then edit your options in your admin cp. Under the 'Version Info and Other Untouchables' section you will see a couple of options for avatar paths. Make sure the 'Avatar File Path' option is set to './customavatars' and the 'Avatar URL' option is set to 'customavatars'. Then remove the code you added to your config.php file as leaving it in there could be a potential security risk.

i did this and the problem is still there inside the gallery.

the attachment is what it looks like now, and thats how its always been. i altered to how you said to, and that did not work.

i put what u said in those areas, and when i did that, the images didnt show up, and the custom avatars were all errored out. then i put it back to what it had in there before.

The few times I've seen this problem it's always been due to those two settings I mentioned above. If you look at the settings, it even says for their description 'Leave this setting alone.', so they never should have been changed in the first place.

well i know they shouldnt be changed...the rest of the sites custom avatars is working just fine though, and when i put your values in, all the custom avatars were off.

what other ideas can we work with here

If you're having problems with changing those settings, then it's due to some hack you've added as they would work fine on a default installation of vBulletin. I've offered to take a look at the problem for you, but I can't fix a problem like this without having access to things.

how can i remove the avatars from loading on the pages then?
