JPG image after upload

sometimes pics seem to be getting this blue JPG image after upload. i guess its a error image printout.

why is this caused?

Looks like you're images are not being resized. Do you have GD or ImageMagick installed on your server?

the original image is being uploaded fine. the size is: 2064 x 1984

did u set the option in gallery admincp that u have GD installed? i remember having to choose a GD version, or tell it where image magik is.

GD just resizes images, it doesn't have anything to do with the upload (hence why the original images are saved but the thumbs are not created). Edit your options and make sure that you have your resizing program set to whatever version of GD it shows above that select box.
