Some images not showing
 

i have my gallery installed to www.dtguild.com/forum/gallery as u can see, the headers and the footer images show, but the templates that vbgallery uses isn't showing the images. this actually happened to me last time when i used vbadvanced portal. anyone know what's wrong?

Misuzu, everything seems to be loading when I view that page.

look closer at the catagory tables, it's only showing black background, there's supposed to be a catagory table image like the ones on www.dtguild.com

Misuzu, unless somebody was familiar with that style then we wouldn't know that there is supposed to be an image there. ;)

In your Style Manager, did you make sure that you changed all of the "url(" references to instead by fully qualified? The Gallery installation will handy many of the graphics, icons, & smilies but not the CSS definitions.

so i have to add it manually? it's not supposed to carry over from the default css for that style?

It will but bear in mind that if your CSS references something like "url(images/{whatever}.gif)" that the "images" folder is relative to your forums "/forums" folder. CMPS typically sits in the root "/" directory and Gallery typically sits off of root "/gallery" so it doesn't know about the "images" folder. That means when Gallery loads it's looking for "/gallery/images/{whatever}.gif" which most likely doesn't exist so it doesn't display anything (and because it's in the CSS instead of the HTML it doesn't display a red-x either).

Changing the reference instead to be "url(/forums/images/{whatever}.gif)" means that now it doesn't matter if the page is in the root directory, gallery directory, or anywhere else... it'll be able to find the images folder.

ok, disregard my last question, but now i have another problem lol

where it says rate image and image tools, the drop down box. how can i make it match the left side?

sorry, i have 1 more question lol. in the attachment, i made a circle around the search this category box. where is the template for that sub category page? and is there any other pages with similar drop down box?

The template for that should be your 'ADV_GALLERY_BROWSEIMAGES' template. What exactly are you trying to do there though?

my forum css class"tcat" uses an image for background. and the search button didn't have it so i had to add the style back on it manually.

You need to edit your 'tcat' class and add the full URL to that image then.

im having the same issue here with the default style. The images show up in the forums and in the cmps but not in the gallery.

Which images exactly? They appear to be working fine for me...

Also, you need to remove the images in your style that you took from here. Those are from a paid style and not to be distributed.

where can i change the css reference?
 

I to have images thatshow on the forum , but not on the gallery.
I do understand its a path issue so its looking for images in the wrong place.

I could use help with issue also. My forum is here, but my gallery is missing my logo and icons.

I've looked at the header-inc.php, but not sure what I need to edit -- and how.

I fixed my problem. I just took the subfolder that held all of my images -- /forum/images/myfolder/ and copied the entire folder to photopost/images/myfolder

Works great!
