Everything disappeared!

I logged on to my admincp to change the number of my max random and max new images from 6 to 3.. After I did so and clicked save, all the images and thumbs disappear and all I see is red Xs... I uploaded a new pic and it shows fine.. All the pictures and files are still in my files folder, but but they are not found in the database... any ways to fix this?

I found the pictures in the root directory 'files' and copy them back to the folders they belong to (e.g. files/2/3/5) and through maintenance rebuilt the image info.. they are all back and links are fine

but now, members can't upload pix anymore.. it says no file was specified... WTH is wrong with this?

It sound like your paths may have gotten changed somehow. Try ACP => vBa Gallery => Modify Settings and then verifying that the entries in the "Title, URL's, & Paths" section is correct.

They are correct..

Since I manually re-created the folders that disappear, I forgot to set the permission back to 777...

still strange how all those folders disappeared
