Template images show red "x"

After install, all my forum's template images are pointing to the wrong directory:

http://domain.com/gallery/images/misc/navbits_start.gif

Should be:

http://domain.com/images/misc/navbits_start.gif

I searched through the forums and installation information but couldn't find help for the problem.

Re: Template images show red "x"

Add this "$vboptions[bburl]/" ( without the quotes ) in front of all the missing images and it should solve the problem.

Re: Template images show red "x"

ACK, I'd have to do that for every image in the default template. There must be a way to change this path from /gallery/images to just /images.

As part of your installation it should've did it for you. If you the installation again about 2/3 of the way down the screen you should see an option to only update your image paths. Try that and see if that takes care of it.

Re: Template images show red "x"

Okay, I figured it out. The image paths for the main vbulletin software was set to "images/..."

I just changed them all to "/forums/images/..."

I all works now.

Admin CP/Styles & Templates/Style Manger/All Style Options scroll down a tad bit and you'll find the paths to your image files.

Re: Template images show red "x"

hmm not working. my images are outside of the forum directory, that probably has something to do with it. it seems like i've tried everything - grrr. if anyone has any ideas please let me know. i might just make a new header and put it in the vbgallery template.

Re: Template images show red "x"

If it's the default vB images (buttons, last post error, etc) then updating those URL's in your style manager will take care of the problem. If you've customized your header and added the images there then you'll most likely need to edit your header template and change the images to point to the full URL's.

I had the same problem...A little bit better explanation for someone who might not understand.

Login to you VB admin /admincp/index.php

Click on styles and templates
then click Style Manager

click the drop down next to your style, then double click all style options.

scroll down to the Image Paths section

edit each group and insert a / to the beginning of each.

click save
