Image count on index page not updating
 

I have categories set this way:

Category 1 (Act as Category = No)
-- Category 2 (Act as Category = Yes)
-- -- Category 3 (Act as Category = Yes)

The problem I have is that when I create a category (in the same "level" as Category 3), and upload files in it, it doesn't update the "Images" count on the index page (it's still 0). If I click on the Category 1 or 2 link, image count in the Category 3 is correct. Everything else also works as it should.

If I want to update the image count on the index page I have to go to the Admin CP > vBa Gallery > Edit Categories > Category 3, select "Edit Category" and click on the "Save" button. After the image count is corrected this way, and I upload images in Category 3, image count updates correctly (if image count is still 0, it doesn't matter how many images I upload, it's still 0).

Is it possible that you are pulling from cache or anything? I don't see how saving a category like that would make a difference with the counts. Did you add the category through the admin cp, or through the category admin on the user side?

Through the Admin CP. I've tried two times and both times it updated counts after the "procedure" mentioned above.

I'll open a support ticket and give you access info so you can try it yourself (I won't say that "I have opened a ticket already" again, because your reply time is 2fast4me :) ).

same problem here. saving the categories works.

any permanent solution to this?

Try upgrading to 1.0.0 and see if that makes a difference.
