Fatal error: Call to undefined function: build_datastore()

Okies, I installed this on another forum last week no probs. But that forum was the newest version of vb.

Now I'm trying to install gallery on an older version of vb: 3.0.0 Release Candidate 3
and it's spitting out this error durin install:
Code:

Content visible to verified customers only.
I have tried to install and have uninstalled a few times because the install had the error and wasn't finished installing.

I've searched the forums to no avail late last night and alot again this morning. Does anyone know what I'm doing wrong from viewing that error above?

Your help is much appreciated.

Thanks a bunches and have a splendid day :)

Re: Fatal error: Call to undefined function: build_datastore()

I'd say that your problem is the older version of vB3 (which is very insecure, btw). I suggest you upgrade ASAP.

Gallery Requirements:
vBulletin 3.0.0 or higher.
PHP 4.1.2 or higher (Safe Mode MUST be turned OFF!).
MySQL 3.23 or higher is recommended.
GD library (2.0+ is recommended) or ImageMagick.

Re: Fatal error: Call to undefined function: build_datastore()

Well, I would but I let my membership expire and would have to renew or do all file edits myself using my second license in which is for another domain.

Not to mention, my forum is heavily modified as it is. I would think it would be a nightmare to even attempt anything but additions on it.

Is there any other way to fix my dilema with installion to to my current forum of vb3 rc 3?

You should spend the $30 to renew your vBulletin membership. You're asking for trouble if you continue to run that old version...

There are several security issues that have been solved since RC3. Running a version that old is just asking to be hacked...

Re: Fatal error: Call to undefined function: build_datastore()

Well, I'm working two forums in which I've already invested quite a bit of money and time into already over the last few weeks.

The forum in question works fine and is quite active. To do an upgrade with all the mods, skins, additions, and custom stuff I've actually paid peopes to do for me in the past would be a nightmare - I can only imagine.

Is there any other work around to the install error?

Thanks :)

Not really as I'm sure there will be other problems with a version of vB that is that old.

If it were easy to upgrade, I'd do it. Just did on the other forum but that forum had nothing added...was just plain jane as is...and now has tons added too.

Can you imagine having to rebuild all that when your site is hacked/taken over/destroyed?

Would any of yous be willing to take on this task of the upgrade for me with all the hacks and stuff that is there?

If so, I'd be willing to pay a reasonable fee. Otherwise, I just don't think I have it in me to edit all those files with 5 kids running round my house...not that I can't..but I just think it would be a total nightmare...

Alright, just paid the $30 to extend my membership on that license for another year. Sad it expired just last month too.

Anyone want the above job?

Thanks :)
