| What the hell
I was bulk adding 700 images.
I started at 50 at a time, and everything was fine until about the 250th image, when I got a blank upload.php
I changed to 25 images per upload and it went fine until the 450th image, and then blank page again.
Then I went to 5 images per upload and it died again at the 470th image.
Now I can't bulk upload anymore! What the hell?
Edit: this is a huge problem, I have to upload 1700+ images, and I cant do it. It was so easy with coppermine |

Uhm.... why not add in smaller batches, of about 250 let the system create thumbnails index it and everything? Adding so much files at time could give a lot of havoc to the machine.

Well, the problem is that I cant even add 5 images, even if there are 5 images in the folder.
Edit: Found the probme: it was a gif image that I just cant upload, not even via normal upload method.
Edit 2: seems like vba gallery hates gifs.

Are you sure it's not something weird with the specific gif file you've uploaded? Or it could be that your running GD2 but your host hasn't installed the gif functions.

I ended up uploading everything fine, 698 images out of 700. Both gifs.
I uploaded other gifs and everything works fine, gif images, gif animations, etc. But these two, give me a blank upload.php file. Weird.
I got it working at least :P I dont know what could possibly be wrong with those gifs?

Mijae,
What is the exact name of the GIF files in the folder? I still run into the occassional problem with file names if it has an apostrophe (a single quote) in it and some other weird characters that my Windows system likes but not my Linux server.

Sounds like your version of GD isn't complied to support gif images then.

Only did it happen last summer that GIF read & write support was avaible in the GD libs.
You should really add a check brian.

Yea, there is a check for one of the gif functions used, but I didn't realize until afterwards that some people may have one and not the other. There other will be added to RC4 though. | |

Well, I DO have other gifs uploaded with no problems, and the file names of the 2 that dont work have normal names.
Anyway, 2 images dont bother me :P

Were those two smaller or the same size as your thumbnail size by chance?
