I ran admincp/vbagallery_install.php initially.

re-edited the admincp file, fixed my path and that's it.

I rechecked the file edits and they seem to be in order, but I could be wrong.

It's not finding a phrase, so it looks like you didn't complete the vbagallery_install.php process.
