Installing VB gallery on Free USB 4.8 ??

Hello,

I need some help. We have Vbilliten 3.6, VBA gallery and VBA CMPS ( front page program ) installed on our server which is running Free USB 4.8.

The problem we are having is with the image software required to run the Gallery, and getting it installed on the server. A freind took a look and said our OS software ( freeusb 4.8 ) is outdated ??

Can we run Imigemagik on freeusb 4.8 ?? Or is there another image software we can use ??

Thanks for your help

If you can't run IM (I believe you can but I'm not really qualified to answer that), you can try GD, which I believe already runs in 4.8 but I'm not qualified to answer that also =)

Looks like it can be done. Have your network guys head over to....

http://imagemagick.org/script/search.php

... and then search for "freebsd". Looks like other people are successfully installing the latest versions of ImageMagick on FreeBSD but the installation instructions seem to be a little different then the generic *nix installations.

4.8 isn't outdated. I'm on FreeBSD 4.8 and am using ImageMagick with no problems.

Ask your host, they will know.

If you don't mind being the Guinea Pig I'd like to test somthing,

If you can create a support ticket and provide admincp and ftp logins I think I might be able to get things working
