All images broken I've searched high and low in this forum on this problem and haven't found a concrete answer. After doing a new install of the gallery, all of the images are broken. I've check and rechecked all the URL entries. The only thing that seems different from everyone else is that I'm running the forum in the root directory and the gallery in it's own, instead of the forum being in "/forum". Ex. http://70.85.79.4/~ooe/gallery/index.php? My head is getting sore from beating it on the ground with this dumb little problem. Thanx in advance |
Re: All images broken You haven't edited the paths like it said on the readme file. Step 1 - Admin CP Modifications Go to your Style Manager under 'Styles & Templates' in your Admin CP. Choose to modify All Style Options. On this page, you will see a section for "Image Paths". Here you must change the path for each image directory (Title Image, Button Images Folder, Miscellaneous Images Folder, etc) to the full path (ex - /forum/images or http://yoursite.com/forum/images). |
Re: All images broken If I had to take a guess.... You didn't update the image paths so that they're fully qualified. For example, in the Style Manager try changing the paths in the "Image Paths" section from being "images/...." to instead be "/images/..." :) |
Re: All images broken I checked those and they are all proper. I'm only experiencing this on the gallery page. Every other page on my site is working properly. Sorry for not specifying that clearly before. |
Re: All images broken According to the paths I'm seeing on the broken images, it still looks like you don't have the full paths to the image folders, as is required. The rest of the forums will work fine, because they don't need the full paths. The broken header image points to: Code: Content visible to verified customers only.Code: Content visible to verified customers only. |
Re: All images broken Change the paths to /~ooe/images and they will work fine. |
Re: All images broken Ahhh... ok. I needed to but in the FULL url path in there. (http://mysite.com/images) I tried your suggestion, Brian, but it didn't work either. It was being finicky so I gave it the whole enchilada. Thanx guys for your quick responses. |
