| Fatal index.php error
Well, I just installed the gallery and when accessing "index.php" I get this error: Quote: |
Fatal error: Cannot increment/decrement overloaded objects nor string offsets in /home/********/**********/gallery/index.php on line 75
| Line 75 contains: Code: Content visible to verified customers only.
EDIT:
I removed the default categories that come with a stock vBaGallery, and now it seems to show the index page..
Then adding a category, I get the error again. EDIT 2:
If I remove the code: Code: Content visible to verified customers only.
Then I have no problems at all.. Very strange. It still seems to count my stats on the index.php page. What is the purpose of the code I had to remove?

I've never seen that error before but anyway, you shouldn't have to remove any code for it to work!
Is your server running PHP5?

That's a pretty standard version, don't understand why you have that issue on a brand new installation!
Undo your changes (or to be safe, reupload new gallery php files) and turn off stats in your admincp -> gallery settings. See if that changes anything.

Hmm. VERY strange. I undid the changes (so it's now a stock index.php) and it works now? So weird.. I know it wasn't really a server issue cause none of my other pages were having problems.
Strange.. I guess it's fixed now though? haha

But did you turn off stats or just undid the changes?
If you need to turn off stats for it to work, take the issue to Brian.

Was there a solution found for this? I had the same problem on my test server, including same error message. Turning off the stats in gallery admin worked.

Not sure how that'd be happening. If you'd like to submit a support ticket though I'll be glad to take a look.

I've only got it running on a test server at the moment. Site is very much under construction. PHP 4.3.1, Apache 1.3.27, on Slackware. Site also has vbportal but I don't think that should have any bearing at all.
I'll try it on a production server before I submit a ticket.
Cheers

I have the same error at the same line, PHP Version 4.3.10. Tried the suggestions above, still don't help.
How to submit a ticket?

It's most likely from another hack you have installed. Try adding $stats = ''; somewhere in your gallery/index.php file, just below the call to your gallery_global.php file.

Thanks for your reply,
I add this and it works Code: Content visible to verified customers only.
Is this the same as what you said above?
