Gallery not showing in Admincp

I have re-edited the forums/admincp/index.php file several times and re-uploaded it and still I don't have the gallery in the admincp. Any ideas as to what happened? It was there when the install script logged me into the Admincp but now it is gone.

Re: Gallery not showing in Admincp

Try again.....

Make sure you are editing the correct file. And are uploading it to the correct place. Nothing else to it...

You can also try a CTRL-F5 to force a refresh of the page.

Re: Gallery not showing in Admincp

No I just went and edited the original file in /forums/admincp/index.php with the construct_nav stuff again and uploaded it to /forums/admincp/index.php and still the same thing. I am confused because it was there when I was logged in from the install script and I added in the path for the uploaded files and changed a bunch of settings. But now when I log back in it is gone and I hadn't changed anything in between.

Re: Gallery not showing in Admincp

Do you have a Dev and Prod site perhaps, and are getting them confused? Otherwise, I dunno. Submit a support ticket and let them take a look...

Re: Gallery not showing in Admincp

Ok I just noticed that the url I am going to when logging into the admincp is /forums/admin/index.php I manually set it to /forums/admincp/index.php and of course I have the Gallery in there. Now why would I be going to the wrong location?

Re: Gallery not showing in Admincp

Because you set it so? =)
The vB install pack does not have a admin folder. A folder with that name does not exist in the Gallery install and is not created by Gallery.
My best guess is that you changed your admincp location from "forum/admincp/" to "forum/admin/" during the vB installation procedure.
Check your forum/includes/config.php and see what values have you set there for the admincp.

Re: Gallery not showing in Admincp

Well yes it was set to just admin in the config.php file. We had Jelsoft install it for us so not sure why it was set that way. But thanks once my database stops having errors I will try it again.

Talking Re: Gallery not showing in Admincp

I must have been in Binary mode when I downloaded the config.php so it was corrupted hence the database error so I downloaded the .new file (in ASCII mode). Added all the dbase info and other stuff that was in the origanal one. Uploaded it making sure to be in ASCII mode. And that was the problem. I also made sure that it was admincp in there and that fixed this problem thank you very much
