| Error when uploading files
I get this error when attemping to upload
An error occurred while attempting to create a folder for your files. If the problem persists, please notify the webmaster
I followed the instructions to the letter and everything seems ok. But I get this error..
Any ideas?
I did chmod the "files" folder to 777.

Have you made sure that your files URL is pointing to the right place?

To get your path go ACP --> Import & Maintenance --> View PHP Info and then look for an entry named _SERVER["PATH_TRANSLATED"] and that'll give you the actual path.
For example, a value of "/www/mysite/forums/admincp/index.php" means that value for the gallery (assuming that it's in the root directory) would be "/www/mysite/gallery/files". |

found it /home/mholtum/public_html/forum/admincp/index.php
so it would be /home/mholtum/public_html/gallery/files
Right?

Right? | Yep. Just make sure then that /home/mholtum/public_html/gallery/files is chmod 777 (if you're on a windows box I think you may need to make it 755; it's been a while since I played with a windows server) and you should be good to.

I am on a Linux box and It is 777. Still no go.
But, I just navigated to the file in ftp and it seems it was uploaded into /files/1/ but it doesn't display..

& thank you very much for the quick help. | For one reason or another the /file folder wasn't 777. The change you did to the URL paths were correct but when I looked at the folder the permissions were wrong.
