| watermarks on images smaller than watermark itself
I'm not sure if this is a problem, but it seems strange to me:
my watermarks are roughly 460px by 40px (made for all our 640x480 photos)
i tried uploading a 250x500px image, and the watermarks didn't add themselves.
Are they not meant to, if the detect the image being smaller than itself?
how about reducing the size of the watermark to 50% and then trying to fit onto the image.
Or am i just wrong, and they do work with smaller images?

The watermark isn't going to work if it's bigger than the image you're trying to upload and there would be way too much involved and too many problems to try and resize it and such.

I actually do have an issue with this, most of our pictures are large 1024x768 images, so a large watermark is required. However, every now and then a smaller image is uploaded. I was wondering if there can be either a way to limit the MINIMUM image dimensions or to have a smaller watermark set if the large watermark doesnt fit or at set dimensions.

Yeah, that would be cool. A section of the Gallery AdminCP where you can define multiple watermarks, based on the resolution of the image.

There is a hack here somewhere for multiple watermarks. Do a search.

It's pretty easy to hack upload.php to apply a different watermark if he image is smaller/bigger than xxx size.
I'll have a look into it and post something later

the hack was released by me ^__^ .... lol
um, it would be quite easy to set up.... but i don't have the time to do myself (as i don't really need it....)
it'll just check the $height and $width,
and if ($those = $smaller_than_watermark's)
{
use $gallery['watermark2'];
}
and just have an extra box in the adminCP to set the 'watermark2'
--- above is not exactly correct, but it's a good starter, none the less.
