Upgrade to PHP 4.3.10

My update to PHP 4.3.10 appears to have busted everything. No thumbnails in vBulletin attachments and no uploads at all in vBGallery. Also, no registration security image!

Did my crew screw up something with GD or has anyone else experienced this?

Admin CP => vBulletin Options => Server Settings and Optimization Options => GD Version

Right above the select box for that option it should tell you what your GD version is. If it shows 'N/A', then you don't have GD installed.

Re: Upgrade to PHP 4.3.10

Thank you for the tip.

Likely GD Version : N/A

Can GD and ImageMagick co-exist? Should I ask for both?

It appears that GD has a lot to do with the general operation of vBulletin.

EDIT: Working on compiling in GD - got it! Now if I could install ImageMagick 6.1.7 I'd be all set.

Wow: GD now lets me rotate images!

Yes, GD and IM can both be installed without a problem

Today, I went to rotate a user's image with rotate 90 degrees and the result reverted back to the same problem that I was having previously. Instead of rotating, the photo simply squashed in a bit from side to side.

Odd, that this was working OK for a while and then it gave up again. I'm still on GD2.

Did you try hitting ctrl+F5 on the page to be sure you're not pulling from cache? If that doesn't help, please submit a support ticket and I'll be glad to take a look (please include a link to the exact image as well).

That's it! Ctrl+F5. Now how do I explain that to my users? Wow! I was blaming GD all this time!
