Images require moderation

Moderation is turned OFF for every user group, but every image is queued for validation. Arrrgh. I think this started with RC2.

Only thing I can do is re-start with a fresh and virgin install. Unless someone has a suggestion...

Re: Images require moderation

Figures that I just closed your other support ticket a few minutes ago... I assume you've double checked the settings under both the 'Usergroup Permissions' and 'Category Permissions' sections, right? If that's correct, the best thing I can suggest would be to uplaod an un-hacked copy of your gallery/upload.php and forum/includes/functions_gallery_imageedit.php files and see if the problem still occures. If not, then obviously that means you're the one that broke it. If it does still happen with the un-hacked files and you'd like to submit a new support ticket then I'll be glad to take a look.

Re: Images require moderation

Turned out to be my problem: usergroup/permissions were doing what they were told. You know you need new glasses and stronger coffee when software behaving correctly causes as much grief as the bugs. Watch out for them secondary user group permissions...

Re: Images require moderation

I'm having a similar problem.

I have the administrator's usergroup set to not be moderated, and the category permissions are all set to default permissions. When I, logged into the admin account, upload a picture to the site it wants to moderate it.

I haven't installed any hacks, and all the files are virgin (except of course for initial configuration settings).

Which ones are you refering to? I likely have a similar problem to what you had, so any help would be appreciated. I should note that I _just_ installed the gallery, so it's brand spanking new to me.

Re: Images require moderation

How quickly the problems and their solutions fade from my tiny mind!

As I recall, the administrator was also a member of group X. In Admincp > Gallery > Usergroup permissions, group X had no permissions.

If that looks ok, I'm sure Brian will come to your rescue. He did say something about a bug in this area, perhaps it's a hardy one, and needs another swing of the bat.

Re: Images require moderation

I'll look into that, and thanks.

I would have thought that the all encompassing admin group would superceed settings for other groups. I'll dig into this today and find out..

Thanks!
