Batch Uploading

Everything worked great until I tried to batch upload a bunch of images. It said to put the files in /1 which I did, but what I found rather strange is that below /1 as another /1 directory. Each time I tried to run the batch process the next screen would come up and it would say No Images to Display. Ideas as to how I can fix this?

Thanks in advance!

Re: Batch Uploading

Have you tried putting them in that second part and then trying?

You will then need to create a new folder under your '/gallery/users' directory and name it according to that user's userid (so if the user's userid was 5, you would simple create a new folder called 5 under your '/gallery/users' directory.
Lastly, you will need to create a new FTP account on your server for that user and make sure they have access to the newly created folder to upload their files to.

It's the last ditch effort of any IT person. You mean to tell us that you haven't come across that phrase before?

Probably have, just never really had a reason to figure out what it meant.

Re: Batch Uploading

So that I make no mistake...

The instructions seem to refer to bulk uploads per user. How does it work for bulk uploads into categories? Or is it the same? Not sure I understand the mechanics of uploading and then incorporating into categories that I've already created...

Thanks

Re: Batch Uploading

If you have bulk uploading enabled for that usergroup then you will see some additional options at the bottom of the upload page. You fill out the info on the upload page as normal (except you don't choose a file to upload), then make sure the 'Upload From Server' box is checked. That will then take you to the approval page where you can change all info for each image.
