Members can only view thumbs not images...

Brian et al...

For reasons I cannopt fathom I simply can't get my members to be able to view the images. They can view the gallery and the thumbnail images, but get the permisisons error when clicking on an image.

As of yet I have not released the gallery to full members and it is restricted to a usergroup I created. I have given that usergroup the relevant permissions in the vBGallery options permissions settings area but members of this usergroup still cannot see the images... just the thumbs..

Any ideas?

Did you set the permission "Can View Full Size Image" to Yes?

Hmmm... have looked, but obviously not hard enough cos I can't find that option!! Where is that please?

I thought it had been added to RC2, but maybe that was aftewards as a hack. When you view a usergroups permissions in the Gallery AdminCP, it should be the permission right under Can View Images. If it's not there, it must have been added after RC2 was released.

If you don't have that option, then I'm not sure why they wouldn't be able to view the full size image.

As long as you have your permissions set correctly then there's not a reason I can think of off the top of my head why they wouldn't be able to view the images. Would you mind submitting a support ticket so I can have a look?

how did you work it out? I have checked all my permissions and still can not see images posted into messages from the gallery. Says we do not have permission!

You personally cant view them or general members? For everyone to view them you have to set that up in the permissions.

I know you run a membership forum, so that is probably your issue.

Admin CP => vBa Gallery => Category Permissions

Choose the category on that page and set the permissions just as you would with your forum permissions.

still not working! I click on the image linked in the post and it says I do not have permission, neither do any of the other members that are suppose to.
I checked ALL of my permissions and they are all set correctly, that I can see.
Any other ideas?

Admin CP => vBa Gallery => Usergroup Permissions => {select group} => Can view large images & Can view original images

Check to make sure both of those options are set to yes. If they are, please submit a support ticket so I can take a look at things.

Same prob here. Except only on vbadvanced pages. No one can see the thumbnails except admins. Permissions have all able to view.

That's a problem with the "Show Gallery Images On CMPS Page" hack Kevin was working on a fix for it.

Well, as long as you don't have a poll in the same column with your gallery images.

Yeah, that's a good one. I'll have have to tear that apart next when I have a chance... of the top of my I couldn't even guess what's causing it.
