Banned user able to report post

It looks that by default, banned user can report a post in vBGallery. I would like to turn the option off for banned users to Report to Moderator but I can not see any option for this. Is there a place where I can turn this off in vBGallery?

I do not beleive there is an type of option for that. I do beleive banned users would be prevented from doing the permissions you set under usergroup permissions but there is no specific can use report to moderator permission.

The reason I mentioned this is because I have a few users that are banned and they have been going into my vBGallery and posting spam on comments posted on photos by using the report to moderator link. It is something in vBG because they can not do it withing the forums. It is only a problem within vBG

I think this is something that should be addresses in vBG, please.

I understand what your saying and our product is not going to work in all regards like your forum. I am just saying that there is no specific permission regarding to whom that link report to a moderator appears to. I assume that is going to appear to any vb group that is logged in.

It can be something that can be looked at in a future release.

I also understand what you are saying and know that it is not going to work the same as the forum.

What I am saying is that if it were a vb permission then it is turned off because in the vb forums a banned user can not report a post. So that proves that it is not a permission that is inherited into vBG.

With that said. That means it is a permission that I would like to see vBG fix and set up or add a permission to so that this back door can not be used to spam moderators.

I know what your saying and like I said it is a nice suggestion for s future version but there is no such permission currently.

I hate to be a pain and I understand that there is no such permission at this time.

Could you find a temporary fix for this for me and anyone else out here that needs this? Is there a way to remove the report post option for banned users and user waiting email confirmation? or am I going to have to wait and hope that this will be fixed in the next update. Those are the ones that are currently abusing the system.

I want everyone to see the gallery and the comments but the banned users and user waiting email confirmation should not be able to report posts.

I am getting sick of troublemakers getting banned from my site only to be able to mass email me by using the report post function in vBG or registering as a new user and becoming a user awaiting email confirmation and doing the same thing.
