Question user album pages

We are having trouble with the display of some of the gallery pages. Here is a link to a page with the example:

http://www.huntersdomain.com/forum/m...php/4-aaasport

If you look at the modules on the left, some of the text is the same color as the background so the text disappears. I took care of most of the text changing it to white, but can't seem to find the variable or css that will modify the text for Recent Visitors.

Also, the table with the photos displays 6 columns, and the text for the image title runs together with the next image. Where can we either change the number of columns displayed here, or use wordwrap on the titles?

Thanks for any help you can provide!

I would be interested to see how it looks in the default vb style.

This might be a simple issue of your custom style and its execution of colors.

Does everything view right with that default vb style released by them?

I don't know. I have no idea how to revert to the original and still save all customizations we have made. I have looked in the css style sheets, but no matter how many places I put the code for white text for the left panel visitors info, it still remains invisible.

OH you mean to say you edited the actual default style and did not create your own.

well let me go try and find a default style setup with vbgallery to see how that looks.

Well at first glance, as you are using vb.4.1 you should upgrade to gallery 3.01
1. the text color has nothing to do with vbgallery.. its vbulltin only.
to change the colors, in vb 4.1, when you look at a profile you have a button "customize my profile" near top right. there you can edit all foreground and background colors. you can save them.. and (as admin) save them for ALL users.

I suppose that your style is NOT 4.1 compatible. (if you change the colors manually, the settings will also (probably) not work anymore.

2. as to the gallery part, it is NOT a table. As vbulletin is not using tables anymore. In settings you can truncate title, the width of the blocks is dependant of the image width.
The block is designed to work with 1 lined titles, cat and other info.

(why? because you cannot preview the length of the titles, etc.. if you have 1 title with 1 word only, the other having like 5 lines.. this would completely break layout as we are not using tables)

To fix your issues.
go to acp->vbgallery->modify addons.
there do following:
Thumbnail Caption Fields: Title Field Length (Cutoff)
set this to 23.

you can also add the category name. (this will give you a second line)

You will only see the changes if you scroll up and set:
Make Profile Settings below default for ALL users and new users to yes

BEFORE SAVING

Even without doing the upgrades, modifying the settings mentioned above helped a lot! The gallery is now looking pretty sweet! Thanks!!!
