How do I change the logo? I know this is probably a simple thing I'm missing, but how do I change the vbGallery logo to match the logo in vBulletin? |
can you show me a url? to my knowledge we simply load the vb header so they should be the same |
Hi Chuck, Its at NorthEastFoto Gallery ... the vbGallery logo is showing instead. Another related question... in my forum page... NorthEastFoto.com Forums ... the gallery statistics down at the bottom of the page aren't being formatted... is there a way to make it look styled like the forum stats above it? |
Ah okay I am merely posting where I can. I do not do vbGallery support. I do support for the other 3 applications we write. Try the vbgallery header template then. As far as statistics try opening up a new topic on that for someone on the vbgallery team to respond. |
There isn't a header template in the vbgallery templates... oddly there is a footer, but no header. Everything in vb4 is done with stylevars and there isn't a stylevar for the logo image either. I did find a setting to tell vbgallery to use the forums favicon, but so far nothing for the logo. This has to be a setting somewhere... I just can't find it. |
There is a stylevar called ppg_logo_dir, but this is just for the relative path to the DIRECTORY where the gallery logofile is located, so I'd have to change my logo file to the name of the default... which is a pain here because the default is a png and my logo is a gif. I also found that with the files loaded on installation, there are several versions of the vbgallery logo, but yet I can't find any way to tell it which file to use. This is kind of driving me crazy at this point because it is usually the first thing anyone wants to change and since I can't find any threads here talking about it, it has to be something really simple I'm missing. I've been through the templates, stylevars, css, etc... nothing. |
You have changed the logo from what I am seeing. |
Actually I didn't... I cheated and copied my logo to the name of the default logo... but its actually a different color from the conversion from gif to png, so I'd really prefer to figure out how I'm supposed to change it. There has to be a way to do this... like I said, this is usually the first thing people change after installing something. |
well one of the vbgallery team would need to respond here. |
Okay I did a search and from what I am seeing in the source code you should have a setting for the logo name in your vbgallery settings in your vbulletin admin panel. |
OK, I am an idiot... I looked at the settings about 10 times and say Modify Settings and all the ones for categories, etc... never noticed the "Modify Layout". I knew it had to be a simple thing I was missing. Thanks for your patience. |
Not a problem since I dont directly work with vbgallery I am not familiar with its options myself ;) |
