.htaccess protection

I want to protect my images against direct links, but when i set the .htaccess protection to yes, there are no more visible images at the complete gallery.

At galley/files a .htaccess file is placed:

Code:

Content visible to verified customers only.

But this does not work for me. Where is my failure ?

Well, thats not "my way". I just activate the .htacess option in my admincp. But this seems not to work, the file i posted is generated by the vbgallery system.

But i will have a look at the faq solutuon.
