Is there any way to remove option to hide/unhide sidebar so its always there? I suppose I should as on vbulletin.com

All depends which sidebar...
The forumhome sidebar is defined by vbulletin. but I think you should be able to switch animation off.
If I remember correctly there should be a setting called animate sidebar for showimage. (cant remember if it was only experimental or implemented - As I am in office and cannot access my installation to check)
