Two Quick Questions - Account and Backup Restore

I. Is there a way to disable a specific members gallery? I don't want to delete the images or folders, I just want them to not be accessible to anyone. Kind of like when you disable a forum on VB, it is still there, posts and all, but no one can view/access it.

II. If a member decided to edit/change all of his/her images and we want to restore them back to the way they were previously with a backup, will running the backup delete any new images uploaded after the backup? How can we run the backup and restore some images and not lose any new ones in the process?

Thanks for any help!

Well not really, as a members gallery is not a category.
you could do following.
Create a category, set it to hidden, (same as forums)
then in admincp =>vbgallery => mass move
select destination the new cat,
enter the username at the bottom,

BUT as Source, you will have to go through all categories the user posted to.

That is, i fear not possible.
The only way I see, is get the original images from the backup.. (depending on your setup, the images with _original in the filename, or if you dont keep originals, the ones without the _thumb extension)
I meen the image files, not the db entries
You will then have to reupload them AS the User
Thats the only solution I see.

[edit]oooops, just seen this was for vb 3.8, my answers were for vb4 and gallery 3.0 but those things have not really changed[/edit]
