I goofed..
I clicked 'Update Post Counts' in the
vB admin page... it seemed innocent and intuitive enough. Unfortunately, after recalculation, it looks like the total post count no longer includes all the comments from the Gallery.
This seems like an easy enough mistake to make (if you didn't read the fine print before clicking). So I've got to think that other PhotoPost customers have had this dilemma. Does someone have a solution that will restore the post count? People are just now discovering that their post counts are lower... and they are naturally a little disappointed.
