When comes vBGallery for vBulletin v4 When comes vBGallery for vBulletin v4? I wait... :p Or must I change on PhotoPost Pro? |
There is no official word as of yet. We have only had access to the vb4 code for about 5 weeks or so and vbGallery lots of stuff needs to be changed as well as every last template has to be rewritten. We will announce when we will support vbulletin 4 for vbGallery. |
I need a bit of advice with my website. Up until about 2 weeks ago I was using Subdreamer, vBulletin, and Photopost Pro all integrated together nicely until vBulletin came out with version 4.0. After reviewing what the new forum could do I decided to upgrade and: 1.) Subdreamer had to go since they no longer wish to support a forum that now comes with its own CMS. 2.) After upgrading the forum to 4.0 and removing Subdreamer, the forum was no longer compatible with Photoshop Pro. So I had to disable and later unstall/unintegrate it with vBulletin to get make sure the forum would work. No vBgallery is all alone and broken :( 3.) I got a message in my e-mail box announcing that Photopost version 7.0 has and I quote "This version adds vBulletin 4.0 support". So, I want to integrate Photopost Pro with vBulletin 4.0. Is there a way to do it or shall I just wait for the magic to be coded? |
well vbgallery is not compatible pro is so you could switch if you have the ability to download pro and import your vbgallery content. or you would need to wait till a compatible vbgallery version is released. |
I am hopeful that we will have an ALPHA or BETA of vBGallery for vB4 in the next couple weeks. |
Yes, too bad that vbgallery isn't available for vb4.0 (since the RC's have been available for quite some time). |
The entire vb 4.0 beta1 to GOLD period was only 6 weeks. RC was only out for 2 weeks so not sure what you mean by available for quite some time. ;) We gained access to the vbulletin beta code from them about the first week of November. Simply put vbulletin rushed 4.0 to market and did not give developers time to develop products that went with it. We are working as fast as we can but its only been about 8 weeks total since we have had access to the first vb beta code. That simply is not enough time to rewrite an entire application like vbGallery. As Michael posted we hope to have something soon. |
